Performance

The Calpeda A self-priming centrifugal pump features an open impeller and built-in backflow preventer that prevents reverse siphoning and ensures automatic re-priming. The pump operates effectively even when partially filled or with a dry suction pipe.

These versatile pumps are suitable for clean or slightly dirty water containing solids up to:

  • 10 mm (models A 40, A 50)
  • 15 mm (models A 65, A 80)

Applications

  • Draining basins or sumps
  • Irrigation and agricultural systems
  • Civil and industrial water transfer
  • Marine applications - including bilge water pumping, deck washdown systems, cooling circuits, and onboard fresh water transfer for yachts and workboats

Construction

  • Model A features a cast iron pump casing and lantern bracket.
  • Model B-A features a bronze pump casing and lantern bracket.

2-pole induction motor, 50 Hz (n ≈ 2900 rpm).
A: three-phase 230/400 V ± 10%, up to 3 kW.
400/690 V ± 10%, from 4 to 7,5 kW;
AM: single-phase 230 V ± 10%, with thermal protector.

All models are supplied fully painted with an open impeller design to support solids handling.

The B-A series, with bronze casing, is particularly well-suited for corrosive environments and seawater contact, making it an excellent choice for yacht and light commercial marine systems.
