The Cantilever Pumps from Salvatore Robuschi are designed for handling sludges, slurries, and liquids containing large or long solids. Installation Options

Typical Installation

The Salvatore Robuschi Cantilever Pump is installed at the top of the sump or tank and operates without level controls. The pump runs efficiently when the liquid level is above the "priming holes," but if the level drops below the suction port, it will run dry. It will restart operation when the liquid level returns to the priming holes.

Installation with Suction Extension

This setup allows the pump to empty tanks up to 5 meters below the suction port. Once the liquid level is below the end of the suction extension, the pump will be unprimed and run dry until the liquid level rises again.

External Installation

For high-temperature applications (up to 300°C) with suspended solids, the Salvatore Robuschi Cantilever Pump can be installed externally beside a sump or tank. When the liquid level inside the tank is above the pump casing, it can operate normally. However, as soon as the level drops below the suction port, it will run dry.
